Wishing You Well

A Wish for WordPress.com

Posted in Wishes by WellWisher on September 26, 2005

I just set up my new home on WordPress.com. I hope to have many fine adventures here, and would love you to join me. Do you have a wish? Share it with me here, and let’s see what happens.

Got any great tips for home improvement? No, not the old Tim Allen TV series; I’m talking about sprucing up our global home; our world. I got the idea from Jim Malanowski in his post from July this year : The Best Way to Make the World a Better Place 1.  There are a million little things that we could do to change our world for the better, and not all of them are beyond reach. To take just one example from Jim:
“The best way to make the world a better place… Don’t say or do anything that your mother wouldn’t approve of.”
What one thing would you put on the list? Please add your ideas in a comment here (you can do this anonymously if you need to) or email them to me. I will feature them all in a later post.

If you have arrived here from my previous site, welcome! Please leave me a comment to say hello.

However you got here, if you are still reading, then I wish you well.

  1. 1. I would suggest to my mother that she not do anything *her* mother wouldn’t approve of.

    2. I would create more jokes to make people laugh.

    3. I wish that Reality Television would go away, and sitcoms not only become popular again, but better-written than the ones that *do* exist.

    4. I wish that kids weren’t taught, “never talk to strangers” so absolutely because that may start the cycle of people not trusting other people, which leads to isolationism, which leads to war or communities spreading ever further apart, and people growing further apart.
