Help For Single Moms
A young college student has been inspired by her friends’ recent misfortunes to create a website to raise funds for singls moms. All monies generated by Google adsense on single-moms.org will be used to create a “Super Single-Mom Scholarship Cash Award”.
The site owner is appealing for help with site admin, graphics, forum posts and content, but you can help by just visiting and signing up.
This is a bold plan to help single moms, from someone who has personal experience of the issue, growing up in a single parent family herself. I wish them well.

Thank you so much for your help and support. I havn’t even told Megan(Gal I am dedicating it to) about the site yet
, don’t want her to get imbarrased thats why I havn’t used her name on the page. Once more I would just like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart :-* heck from the very top too
Only need several more kind souls like yourself and we might beable to get this organization off the ground a bit.

No problem, I am only too happy to mention single-moms.org – it’s a great idea. I’ll report your upcoming news here too if it will help.
on October 12, 2005 on 6:07 am
Wow that would be amazing, I have a feeling this is going to end up becoming a very great organization with the help of people like you. If only there were more bloggers like yourself, we could be giving scholarships by next weekend
Looking like it might take a bit longer, although who knows this is the interent after all
Things change in mili-seconds not day on here
Once again thank you so much you are a great asset to the internet and example for bloggers everywhere. :-*

Having played single mom for 5 years I say give them all the help possible to create a life for themselves above and beyond necessity!

I am a graphic designer and would be happy to create a header to replace your current forum header. Just send me the image dimensions you need.
I am disabled and thanks to MsWeCare (a non profit) who has a similar program for the disabled I was able to pull myself up by my own bootstraps. They provided me with the initial resources to set up my business online.
I am curious to know if you’ll be setting this up as a non-profit. Depending upon where you’re located this can run from $10 to $50. You don’t have to be a 501c3 non profit. I know that MsWeCare generates it’s own funding it this might be something you’d want to do for yourself.
Anyway good luck!

Kristy, first of all let me congratulate you on your accomplishments, which are something to be truly proud of.
I only wish that singlemoms.org was in a position to take advantage of your generous offer but it seems that nothing much has happened to the site since launch, which is very sad.
I also help out with a couple of charity websites, mainly as a way of giving, and I know there are so many deserving causes out there that would be thrilled to have your help with their sites so keep it up! I wish you well.

Personally I think the person who gives to someone is the person who deserves the best in life. This site at least allows people to see that their are communities out their willing to help people in need and people who really are king hearted.

Sounds fab! I am a webmaster myself, i can help out with the site admin and graphics side if she still requires any assistance and i dont see why not i couldn’t regulary post on the forums!
on January 2, 2007 on 10:29 pm
Good news, I hope! I found a recently started WordPress.com blog called Mothers 2 Mothers that is dedicated to helping single moms, so if any of you who have offered help are looking for a deserving cause, you might want to pop on over there and check it out at http://motherstomothers.wordpress.com/

Hello
I have the upmost respect for single parents especially single moms. I have actually set a website well 2 websites of my own up just to make parents lives easier. kiddiekids.co.uk and ebabee.co.uk. Please note i am not spamming here i am just basically saying single parents should not feel they are alone and have no support.
I will definately look into supporting this website.
Thanks
p.s i set both sites up to bring a better community to educate new / experienced parents. There is lots of FREE info for them out there and i want to help you find it. I also provide fun stuff for your kids to help keep them entertained. The websites are free to use.
on April 16, 2007 on 11:15 pm
Lee, well done for all your goood intentions directed towards helping parents. I visited both sites, and have to say I think that you could use more of the free content because right now they look like a custom Google search page and an online store, but it’s early days so keep going!
on April 17, 2007 on 10:25 am
Great Sites. I agree with Wellwisher, you need to use the word FREE more. When i visited i would not have know the site was FREE based. This might put others off from using it
on April 18, 2007 on 1:52 am
Sites are great, but don’t forget the single fathers. They also have it tough.
on April 26, 2007 on 3:17 am
Hi Ladies,
its a great looking site and I applaud the sincerity and the motives but if I may be so bold and not meaning to be critical, would someone please run a spell check, there are a number of minor errors.
